Austin Skyline with Stevie Vaughan Statue - This photo was capture on the hike and bike trail at ladybird lake with the statue of Stevie Ray Vaughn looking over the city from the shore with the austin skyline in the background. Stevie Vaughn was a musician, songwriter who played and lived in Austin from the early 1970s and was known for his blues until his life was cut short at the age of 35 years from a tragic helicopter crash. This statue was placed on the shore of Austin because he was such a part of this city music until his death. Unfortunately you cant get a good shot from here since they no longer cut the weeds along the water they obstruct the view from this angle now.
