Luckenbach Post Office Texas - This is an image of the historic Luckenbach Post Office which is no longer in operation as a PO, but it now serves as a general store and souvener shop and in the back is the saloon with a beer garden out back. In the 90 we spent a good deal of time here, but it has been a while since we have been back. You can go almost anytime and someone is playing music in the picker circle. This place was made famous by Willie Nelson and Waylon Jennings song about Luckenbach called "Back to Basic of Love". This place draws a lot of local but also a lot of tourist traveling through. Live music at the dance hall is always a favorite on weekends, as some pretty big names still perform here. Just remember this quote "Everybody is Somebody in Luckenbach Texas" Fredricksburg is the nearest town near here and many still come in to hear some big name musicians such as Dale Watson, and many more.
