Description
Path Through the Dunes - We loved this path through the dunes to the beach with these yellow wildflowers growning over the sand dunes looking out toward the surf in the gulf. Not exactly sure what these flowers are could be some sort of sunflower or possible a daisy. We came from Port A to explore this area along the North Padre island seashore and the Laguna Madre area. We were thrilled that there were some wildflowers growning on the dunes in fall. In any case alway good to have dune flowers. We found miles and miles of white sandy beaches. Actually this is the longest stretch of undeveloped beach in the world. Padre Island National Seashore is a national park located just outside of Corpus Christi Texas that includes about 70 miles of undeveloped beaches and natural habitat. This is part of the gulf of mexico which runs all the way down the Texas coast. Now so you know you can't drive from North Padre Island to South Padre island there are some barriers that make it impossible and both places are quite different. North Padre is not developed at all while South Padre is a resort town and more developed.
