Sunrise Reflections at the Texas Coast - There is just something about being at the beach in the early morning as the sunrise colors start to reflect into the clouds and then reflect down on the wet sand on the beaches. The beauty of the beach as the waves create these ripples in the wet sand as the drama in the sky as the sun rays poke through the clouds to give this heavenly light over the beach and pier in the early morning capture. The surf was coming in and a long exposure soften the tide as it rolled in and out. Its always a challenge to keep the tripod from sinking into the sand for this shot. This is just one of many captures from this location over the week we were there trying to the capture the tranquility over the gulf of mexico. and our friends letting us use their beach house it worked out well for us. This the iconic Horace Caldwell fishing pier which reaches out 1200 feet into the gulf of mexico. Port Aransas is small community of vacation homes located along the Texas coast. This is a short drive from central Texas so it can be quite popular in the summer time as many come to the shore for vacations. Port A is about 30 miles from Corpus Chrisit or 15 minutes from Rockport and Fulton texas with plenty of beach to enjoy along the way.
